Lock and ride anchors
Worked as designed. System was used to mount gun racks. Worked perfectly.
Exactly what I expected. May need a couple more.
Good experience and easy to install.
Great product as advertised. Highly recommend them on all sxs products.
Work smarter not harder.
I definitely like the thickness of the bar that you’re bolting into. It will definitely holds the toolbox in place. The difficulty is aligning that bolt perfectly in the slide rail and that is a pain. The quick fix is use a zip tie loop it in the hole of the bolt and pull it through the slot. This will definitely gain 3 to 4 more inches. This is a pretty simple fix for installation and cut down on a lot of frustration.
They work but
We used the mounts to anchor the new top we had built for our Ranger XD bed. Did they hold it down? Yes. The issue is not without a lot of effort and additional expense. Putting these down the little slot in the front of the bed is a real pain. They have to be aligned exactly correct to drop in the slot and there is very little room to no leeway. The second and third issue we had was aligning them with the holes in the top. This was solved with some masking tape initially. Lastly, we discovered that the longer bolts we had purchased did not reach down to the anchors. The problem is the anchors sit a 1/4 to 3/8" below the bottom of the inside of the rail. It is very easy to have bolts that are too long and hit the bottom of the rail without holding the top object down securely. We had measured carefully to not extend the bolt through the anchor while getting a full bite on the anchor. We did not allow for the additional length needed to get the anchor off the bottom of the track and the next larger bolt would have been too long. Our solution was to find some rod that filled the gap below the anchors and bend U shaped pieces to put under the anchors. This did two things, held the anchor in place while allowing it to be adjusted to center on the holes in the top as well as, with significant effort, hold down the top and get the bolts started into the anchors. This took us about an hour to figure out and accomplish. That being said the did hold the top secure so will call it a success.
Thumper Fab
Hi Gary, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a reivew. Yes, we agree they are a pain to install due to the design Polaris has for the front of the bed box. This is still easier than removing the plastic panels to gain access but a pain none the less. Once in the rail, we wanted a solid fitment so that these would be able to distribute the load well and provide the strongest tie down point possible! Polaris made a way for these to be installed much easier in the Xpedition but unfortunately the 1500 is harder. Once installed they will get the job done!
